Happy Wednesday everyone ! For today’s blog  topic I wanted to dig deeper on our mission at Bags by the Ocean. Bags by the Ocean was born back in 2017 with clear goals to help empower women and help the world we live in. We at Bags by the Ocean immensely believe that each individual has the right to education and work no matter what their gender. We want to encourage young girls to work towards their own goals and not let society's pressure or expectations keep them from who they are . About 3.1 million women  are unemployed in the US alone, and we are here  to change that.

Now we also believe in doing whatever we can to help the environment we live in as I am sure you know by now that global warming, climate change and various destructive human activities are deteriorating the world we live in. If we do not stop our children, many of the generations ahead will not have access to clean water.  About 8 million tonnes of plastic escapes into the ocean every single year and that 27 million tonnes of plastic wastage is collected as waste in  landfills. Our bags are not just ordinary bags, they are made of industrial wastage which would otherwise contribute to the landfills and marine pollution in water bodies. We design our bags not only from an environmental aspect but also the functionality aspect. Every single bag we make is  made from a different piece of waste making them irreplaceable and unique. Each of our products is handcrafted by women seamstresses, each one having their own unique stories.
